World: Mountain climbers found dead near

http://www.nandotimes.com) - The bodies of two men thought to be Austrian
mountain climbers were found Thursday near the peak of Mexico's highest
mountain, the Pico de Orizaba.
Rescue teams were unable to immediately identify the men, who were
apparently members of an eight-person team that set out last week to climb
the 18,400-foot snowcapped volcano in central Mexico.
Ricardo Demenegui, leader of the rescue team, said the pair had apparently
suffered an accident, fallen or slipped at a point 2,300 feet below the

surviving members were able to descend and advise authorities of the
Demenegui said weather conditions were bad on the mountain, with high
winds and storms. He also recommended that no one attempt the climb until
those conditions changed.
He said the two deaths brought to 11 the number of people who have died
on the mountain this year.
