Well I didn't end up working on my Minotaur's over the [I Swear Too Much] break.
Saying that I've not been idle. I have been experimenting with the different types of Worbla the material the cosplay community use to make costume armour. This thermal plastic isn't useful for making armour at Warhammer scale but it is useful for making capes. cut a basic shape apply heat and you can bend the stuff around the model giving you a dynamic cape. applying a little greenstuff after its cooled and you can make the fine ridges can folds.

sorry its not the best image I'm taking it at work and I've not got a model to use as an example.

Well here is an example of the worbla cape without any greenstuff work (ill be doing that later tonight) I've just noticed that I damaged the exhaust port on the back pack in the second photo so ill have to turn that into battle damage.

Today in the post I received some goodies from Conversion world some of his new line of Greek Sci-Fi helmets. I went straight to work retrofitting one of the existing models I've already have shown off.

Please take a look below to see how nice these new helmets are.

And here is a new model with one of the Masterly style helmets.

Please tell me what you think of them and if you want check out my fledgling website Rethonn-Studios

Today I start something slightly different.

"But Rethonn you haven't [I Swear Too Much] the last project!" you say.

But fear not I am still working on the Minotaur's but as inspiration has struck!... Its time to work on the Librarian.

I plan to base the model on the Blood Angels Sanguinor with the [I Swear Too Much] goal to look close to the image below

So far I have used a puppets war head as a base for Dr. StrangeFate.
the one outlined in red is the one I've been working on the one outlined in green is the original head from puppets war.

Quick update.

The Sanguinor has been ordered for the Dr. StrangeFate space marine librarian conversion.

I'm currently looking into a serious laser engraver (40W £300+) to replace the hobby one I bought a few months ago.

Ive been experimenting with some heat reactive hands that Conversion World Uk sent me which you can see holding the sword in one of the images I posted. They work very well at low heat.

I tried to engrave some shields that Conversion World Uk sent me and it works pretty well for the most part, but as you engrave near the point at the bottom of the shield the resin heats up and becomes soft so you have to wait for it to cool before touching it. (this wont be an issues with a more powerful and faster machine as you can apply a lot of power very quickly and keep it moving so it doesn't heat up)

Besides that the website Rethonn-studios.co.uk is up not sure if its gonna be updated much as I don't do enough of a write up to have a site really.

Anyway as always comments and questions are welcome.
