HIDE! QUICK! From what, you ask? Ha. You really don't want to know. Trust us, we've been there, done that. However broom closets are excellent for hiding from teachers, enemies, prefects, unwanted lovers... The list goes on.

  • What flow of crazy, messed up events had led to the Gryffindor girl being locked in the broom closet, soaked to the bone in an unidentified green liquid that smelled absolutely rancid? Well, to be honest, said girl had absolutely no idea what it was that she had done in the first place. Maybe it was just time that the Fates decided for something nuts to happen to her. Maybe it was just one of those days where she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe someone really hated her and told Peeves that she would be walking along that corridor at that particular time of day and he had lain in wait for her. Whatever the case may be, Peeves was to blame, and Ivory Vein was fuming. Her books, she knew, were strewn across the corridor, papers and bits of parchment with precious homework on them tossed every which way. Her wand was out there, too, and that was the most disconcerting for her. She wanted her wand, damnit. She always had it on her, always tucked in her back pocket unless she was seated. Her fingers had twitched for that the moment she’d fallen into the broom closet before realizing that it hadn’t been in its usual resting spot today, but rather had become a plaything while she had walked, twiddling it between her fingers. That was why it was currently not with her now. That thing would be glued to her body so something like this didn’t happen again, the girl swore it.

At first, things had been all normal-like. Getting out of a class, have some time before the next one, walking down the corridor. Nothing outrageous, right? Next thing she knew, she tripped over something – that something had been unidentified up to this point, and the girl still had no idea what it was. But then her books went everywhere, the aforementioned papers went flying…And a noxious green substance was promptly dumped onto her. Sputtering and stumbling to her feet to hear the too familiar sound of Peeves cackling at her as he zoomed overhead, she fell backwards into the broom closet. And, finally, before she could shove herself between the door and the doorjamb, it was shut and a click let her know that it was locked. Hot damn. Still on her rear end, the Gryffindor had watched that happen and it was still where she was seated right now. The only consolation was that the green substance was not acidic. That would be uncharacteristically cruel of Peeves, and he wasn’t cruel so much as a pain in everyone’s ass. It was becoming more difficult for her to want to breathe, however, and she wondered if the scent was just as strong outside in the corridor as it was in the very tiny broom closet.

Peering around now as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, they rested on a blue spray bottle, her brow furrowed at it. This broom closet actually held cleaning supplies? As they took in more, Ivory could see that there were all kinds of similar things here like there was at home – an orange substance, a blue substance, some sort of harsh yet soft metal looking thing. The girl didn’t know the names for any of these things, but perhaps they could be used on her? Or maybe just an air freshener. Ive didn’t know which yet. First, though, she needed to find some rags or some other such thing. Those were harder to come by and after about two minutes of intense searching, her mouth fell to a frown. And then rested on a broom before her gaze flickered to the space between the door and the floor. And then back to the broom. And then back to the floor. Picking the broom up, it took a heck of a lot of maneuvering to first get it how she wanted it. In realizing that trying to get it to lay flat in a broom closet that probably gave her an inch of space all around her body was a futile effort, she pondered further before the bright idea to just break the damn thing came to mind. That took a bit more strength than the old object would have led her to believe, but the crack of the wood as it broke was satisfying to hear all the same. And, promptly, Ivory fell to her knees, sticking the handle under the door and flinging it back and forth. Probably it would snag on something – maybe her wand? – or probably someone would stroll past, see the mess in the corridors, smell the fumes from the closet, and see the moving bit of wood and stop.

Then again, what the heck did she need the moving bit of wood for? Probably someone was smart enough to figure out “Oh, hey, there’s a student in there. I should let them out, I think.” …Probably.</li>

Kaitibelle just happened to walk down the hall at that particular moment and see the mess and the broom handle flailing about beneath the door. She looked around and saw no one else to help, but found a wand lying on the floor across from the broomcloset. She picked it up and went to help the person trapped in the closet.

The door took a few tries to pull free, but Kaitibelle eventually got it opened and was about to move out of the poor girl's way to let her out when she was pushed into the closet and the door clicked behind her. Peeves cackled outside at his having "killed two birds with one stone," so to speak.

She tried the door, but to no avail. Peeves had locked it and wouldn't open it. Suddenly the foul odour of the green substance that covered the Gryffindor hit Kaitibelle at full force and she nearly choked on the stench.

"What is that?" Kaitibelle asked, appalled.

Landon couldn’t believe how boring his day had been so far. In the morning he had double Divinations which wasn’t what you would call ‘spectacular’… He absolutely despised the subject and it didn’t help that the Professor simply amplified his hatred towards the subject by assigning his class absolutely incredible amounts of homework that he was more than positive he would never get through in about a month’s time. Nevertheless, Landon didn’t have a choice but to bite his tongue that lesson because he knew that if he dared to speak out to the Professor he would get nothing but grief from his classmates including a two hour detention with the Professor. This wasn’t exactly what Landon was aiming for this today so he definitely steered clear of that situation. Then came lunch, which was calm, but he didn’t want to be stuck at the Gryffindor table with a bunch of first years. After all, they were far too immature for him and not to mention, bloody irritating! Landon couldn’t swore that if the Herbology Professor hadn’t come by his table to ask him if he needed anymore help to get his Owl in his exam, he would’ve hexed them all! Landing him yet in another detention… Thank merlin for the Herbology Professor!

“Oh no, it was lovely to see you again, Mr. Ashdown,” replied the Herbology Professor happily as she closed the door to the greenhouse as Landon exited. It didn’t take long for his frustration to leave after that relaxing extra session with the Herbology Professor. After all, Landon loved the subject. Herbology as well as Potions were a gate way to different methods of helping an individual out of the trickiest of situations. Landon allowed a small smile come across his lips as he strolled along the grounds, taking his time before going back into the castle. He didn’t like the idea of staying inside for very long today so he decided that perhaps after he finished class, he’d pop down to the Quidditch pitch to practice on his own for a bit. It’d been a while since he played and he knew that if his mum found out that he hadn’t, she would’ve flown all the way here just to have a go at him and Landon wasn’t in the particular mood to be yelled at today so instead he’d just be the good boy that he was and go train. He allowed his eyes to take in the marvelous scenery of the grounds. His smile remained as he saw a younger couple cuddling on a bench, smiling at each other. It seemed as if no one had been present in their own little world and that only made Landon laugh to himself. Ooh, if a teacher caught you, he thought to himself as he slowly turned his head away from them.

He continued happily down the path, focused on his tasks ahead. Sometimes Landon wished that he had a remember ball since it’d help him remember the most simplest of things during his most stressful times but his parents always thought of him to be a bright boy so for as much as he asked them to get him one, they never would. Suddenly, Landon came to a complete halt just as he turned into one of the corridors. His face was filled with confusion as he saw pieces of parchment, books and other materials sprawled around the floor. He slowly continued to make his way down the corridor, gripping his school bag tightly and removing his wand out of his robes’ pocket with caution. Having been at the school for five years now, Landon knew all too well that this had to have been either a troublesome student’s doing or Peeves. His dark brown eyes slowly scanned the hall as he slowly took another step forward. A disgusting, unbearable smell slowly crept up Landon’s nose, causing him to automatically hold his nose. His eyes watered as he continued to make his way down the corridor. "What is that?" As soon as Landon heard this, he came to a complete halt, looking around everywhere. Where in Merlin’s beard did that come from?! Landon thought to himself while looking over his shoulder. However, it didn’t take him long to realize that it had been coming from a broom closet just a few feet back from where he stood.

Curious as to who made that noise, Landon walked slowly back toward the closet with his wand at the ready. As soon as he reached the closet, he let go of his nose although the smell had only become worse as he stood by the closet and mumbled the words ‘Alohamora!’ and moved his wand in a specific way. Within seconds the door had swung open. Landon quickly took a few steps back, stepping on some of the green substance that had been on the floor. “UGHHH!” Landon yelled as he stared down in utter disgust. He then looked up to find a young girl and another girl who looked older than him. He quirked an eyebrow at this as he held his nose once more. “I would ask what happened but in all honesty, I really don’t want to know,” Landon told the two, sounding particularly high pitched since he was holding his nose. This day couldn’t get any stranger really….

"One word," Kaitibelle replied, holding her own nose, "Peves. I don't even know exactly what happened," she suddenly realized she still had the other girl's wand and handed it to her. "I'm Kaitibelle, first year, Hufflepuff. I suppose it would be a little nicer to meet both of you in diferent circumstances, but here we are just the same."
