- improper context
- improper exegesis
- improper hermeneutics
- missing the proper study guide references
- missing the approved list of backing sources

With all that going against you, my suspicion is that you are correct.

A place to worship a fiction.

Improved!! Now With T-Formula!!

People are intrinsically intelligent

When people are put together, they could become a herd
When people turn a herd, they could become sheeple
When people turn sheeple, they could become dumb animals
When people turn dumb animals, they become treated as such

Matt 18:20
20 "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst." (NAS)

From G4862 and G71; to lead together, that is, collect or convene; specifically to entertain (hospitably): - + accompany, assemble (selves, together), bestow, come together, gather (selves together, up, together), lead into, resort, take in.

Also if you had any REAL Biblical knowledge you should observe in the greater context WHY they PHYSICALLY gathered together. Obviously the IGNORANT haven't observed.

James 5:14
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; (NAS)

into a matter of time. WHEN Jesus spoke those words was there a church anywhere to be found? The answer is no, the assembly that is spoken of in James came later. So lets go back to the beginning where is all starts: "Wherever two or three are GATHERED in My name....." JB

How do you call the elders together to anoint somebody sick with oil on the internet JB?

Your allegorical interpretation continues to bury you JB.

Even Jesus submitted to the AUTHORITY of the written Word of God.

Matt 4:4
4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
(NAS)
