This would be almost unbelievable. Educational system failure? Religious infection of the brain?

Hmmm even motion is relative?

You mean there is no ABSOLUTE MOTION? Yes there is Mondo. ABSOLUTE SLOW is not ABSOLUTE FAST.

However, I've never met any deity, so I honestly cannot say for certain.

But I believe that it is safe to say for certain that there are some people that do and say the most stupid things. Their stupidity often exceeds what a "normal" person could ever imagine. It's like their stupidity is almost one of "divine providence". The irony is flattening.

Like the old 8mm movies that was shakey and no sound. On a sheet hung somewhere with wrinkles.

Sorry, I've gotten slow in my old age. Plus I'm not a forum-spelunker like I once was.

I've surmised that you've encountered a foul, hostile, and ancient beast from the depths of one of caves. Maybe even a angry beast spawned from the bowels of the abyss itself.

Nasty critters those. Tread carefully, my friend.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I have seen this stupidity applied to religion and politics, but physics?

"ABSOLUTE SLOW is not ABSOLUTE FAST."

Well dammit, there is no such thing as absolute speed. Duh. Motion is relative. I know, you know. It just boggles my mind.

Even more mind boggling, is why am I shocked? The frightening thing is I don't think this was said to simply be argumentative. I think the moron, and I am being generous here, really meant it.

I had to pose the question...

<blockquote> A question, nucc...
by Pope Reverend I, BV

They say the average walking speed is 4 miles per hour.
Sooooo...
If a man is walking (4 mph) inside a moving train...
And the train is traveling at 60 miles per hour...
And a Fly is walking across the top of the man's hat...
At a speed of 1 mile per hour...
-- How fast is that Fly really moving...?

Oh, and...
In considering this question...
Please...
Don't forget to factor in...
The fact that...
The Fly...
The Man...
And...
The Train...
Are all travelling on the face of our planet...
Which is revolving around it's axis...
While orbiting the Sun...
In the arm of a Spiral Galaxy...
Within the ever-expanding, yet infinite...
-- Universe.

It's all... relative, nucc.

-PRev1-
I'm guessing his response will be something along the lines of...
-- "Where's that Bible Verse that says Jesus was an Essene??"

President Barrack Hussein Obama

-- Nobel Peace Prize, 2009 --
"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength."
