Seems to me that he makes some valid points. Christians only support "free speech" it seems, when they agree with it 100%. There are issues in the Bible, taking it literally leads to these sorts of problems ..

then there should not be any practicing Christians enlisted in military service. Also, no christian should permit their tax money to be spent on weapons of warfare, and christians should not vote for any goverment representative that advocates the use of war or the selling of weapons.

The problem with the Bible is not what is written in it but how people choose to use it. JB

That not everyone who claims to be a Christian actually is. The Bible speaks of false brethren in our midst (2 Corinthians 11:26; Galatians 2:4). Jesus also refers to those who profess to be Christians, but had no relationship with Him at Matthew 7:21-23. They were "Christians" in name only. They professed Him, but actually did not follow Him.

~Paster Jack Howell
It's ironic that Jack recognizes this fact, but doesn't see that it refers to him and his ilk of warmongering "christians", who are truly antiChrist in spirit, word and deed.

There are 'exiles' in the journey that few can avoid. One has to experience their Spiritual Egypt and their Spiritual Babylon, each one has its own challenges that need to be overcome. Both filter the soul of spots and wrinkles so that the Bride (soul of man) can be joined to the Groom (spirit of God) in continual harmony.

A sure sign of when a person is being changed by God's spirit is the devil (the old spirit) appears also. The devil (old spirit) does one of two things to prevent itself from being shipped out, it

(a) questions and opposes the Spirit of God (Spiritual Egypt - overcoming bondage to this world), and

(b) it tries to agree with but deflect the Spirit of God (Spiritual Babylon - overcoming confusion).

Most Christians are like a vessel being built: it looks like a boat but you would not take it out to sea until it was finished. Jack, Nucc and myself, to name a few, are still in dry dock at various stages of completion. JB

For God is described as "a man of war" (Exodus 15:3).
"The God of the armies of Israel" (1 Samuel 17:45).
"The LORD of Hosts" which is a reference to the angelic armies of heaven (Isaiah 47:4).

In scripture, God is compared to a warrior (Deuteronomy 32:41-42; Jeremiah 9:16; 12:12; Leviticus 26:25, 33; Psalm 7:11-13).

God often engages Himself in men's battles (Joshua 1:9; 1 Samuel 17:45; Isaiah 13:4, 17, 19).

He is mighty in battle (Psalm 24:8).

Even the description of Jesus returning to earth to battle and defeat the Antichrist is that of a warrior (Revelation 19:11-21).

Sorry, but your idea of Jesus and Christians being pacifist is unscriptural and reveals how little you actually know the Bible.

Pastor Jack Howell
"Some bring God's curse on them by marking off part of the Bible, calling it erroneous, uninspired, less than the very Word of God." - Dr. John R. Rice

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)

like the Pharisees did i imagine....

you talk...does not equal you walk however.

so save the preaching to others when you bear false wittness.....then think you can tell others how to live their lives??

you seem to truly fit the definition of what a hypocrite is.
