Is it over? Did Seattle really hang on to Pickard???? Can't imagine why if they did.

I agree - should have traded Pickard for youngsters/picks. But I'm still delerious over the Noebels deal!

Could have got another 2 1st round picks plus more for Pickard and really stocked up for Seattle's future.

....he would have taken it. That offer, no doubt, wasn't out there for Pickard....for whatever reason.

Taking two great picks for Noebels and then hanging onto Pickard is beyond strange. You don't throw the towel in halfway. Farwell did great and lousy all at the same time. Go figure.

laughable that it's automatically assumed a deal didn't happen because the GM with the 'talent' was being "stubborn". Just as likely (especially in this case) the buyers were looking for a bargain.

The cupboard is filling quickly. The Birds now have two first round picks, for the next two drafts, and just signed a very talented American born player in Wolf (who wasn't projected to come to the Dub)They also brought in 17yo Connor Honey from the USHL. Not to mention two 16yo defensemen in Theodore and Hauf, who are gaining invaluable experience this season. Things don't look too damn shabby from where I'm standing.
