Big news out of Vernon, as Mark Ferner has stepped down as Head Coach & GM of the Vipers. Jason Williamson has been promoted to fill his role. Jon Keen with Radio NL out of Kamloops had the story on Twitter. Keen speculated that Ferner will be named HC in Everett with the Silvertips. You can read the press release on the Vipers website

Mark did a great job with the amount of crap Clark brought in for him and then when the team went an impressive 16-16 with the garbage lineup he had to work with he got fired and Clark took over behind the bench again.

I doubt that any Jnr A coach will ever hit the heights that Ferner did with the Vipers.
3 consecutive trip to the RBC cup final including two RBC cups.
Highly respecting in coaching circles in this part of the world, a great recruiter and respected by his players. Has great connections for players throughout the U.S as well!!!
Great pick up for the Tips...Mark's a winner!!!!

Let's see how well he does in a league where you can't buy players, or just go out and recruit them because they want to play for a winning team.
Oh yeah, the jury is out, big time.
