while he is a good fighter,do you want your captain in the penalty box as often as he gets in? 306 penalty minutes last season .

gee i would want my captain on the ice or atleast on the bench. good luck with that.

Or he is just willing? Honestly I don't think he is anything special. Yeah sure he will fight almost anyone. Wouldn't go with Doty(Good fighter) or Elliot(already pounded Kramer once) in preseason, but was more than willing to go with Dave Sutter(one career fight).

Great follower, not a good leader. Wouldn't be too surprised if he gains the spot, though. Gonna be a down year in Spok anyway.

What most Spoke fans know is that Kramer will back off if it will hurt the team at that particular time. It's interesting to watch him. He doesn't just fight to fight and if he passes on one then so be it. Doesn't mean he couldn't beat the other player it just means he plays it smart (he doesn't forget though ). As for the penalty minutes, I almost think he inspires the team even more when he's in the penalty box. They know why he's in there.
