Been thinking about this and I do wonder if there's any mileage in looking at Matt Renshaw and Sam Whiteman in Australia. Renshaw a top order batsman with Queensland, Whiteman a wicket keeper with W.A and getting them over here during our summer, their winter?
Both young lads, 20 and 24, although both have played a bit for Australia A so if they have tours which clash that may be an issue.
However, the advantage is they're both born in Britain, indeed Yorkshire, so should allow us to play them as non overseas?

Australian keeper batsman Cameron Bancroft will rejoin Gloucestershire for the whole 2017 campaign to play in all three formats.

Bancroft struggled at Gloucs last season, bit surprising that they've re-signed him.

I'm not trying to cause trouble but Hodd averaged a similar figure.

Bancroft was used as a specialist opener in division two and averaged 21. Hodd is a specialist keeper mostly batting down the order in division one and averaged 26. I'm not trying to cause trouble either but you're comparing apples and oranges.

I note wicket-keeper Jonathan Read was Yorkshire Academy Player o' t' Year.

Bresnan and Brooks deserve better and i'm concerned that they won't be supported adequately again next season, having a specialist keeper hinders success.

Why didn't we snap him up?
