Accuses him of letting his commercial interests affect his media contributions, giving his own situation as an example. Can't see Vaughan taking that lying down.

Book is being serialised in the paper.

Vaughan fights back, via his solicitors.

Trott saying that Vaughan was pushing ISM clients because of his connection with them, making it difficult for him (Trott) to press his England claims.

The 3 players Trott reckoned benefitted from Vaughan's influence are Joe Root, Jonny B and Ben Stokes. Not sure that argument stacks up with those 3.

If he had a grievance surely he could have used better examples than 3 world class cricketers, that is if his claims are not spurious sensationalism to boost book sales.

Based on current form and ability the three mentioned players would have waltzed into the team in 2016 but in 2013 things were a bit different. Stokes was still punching lockers, Root was an Ashes opener who was dropped at the end of one series and Bairstow clocked up air miles by the thousand just to serve drinks and wear an orange bib.

It will be a better book thanRoot or Stokes ghost written efforts based on this titbit alone though

I hope he reappears next Spring to tell us Alex Lees should go.

He'd probably get 2000 runs
