I supposed it had to happen, but it still makes me feel ancient

Today at Cardiff in the Glam vs Derby 2nd division Championship match, the Glamorgan batsman AG Salter was caught Wilson bowled Hamidullah Qadri. The bowler was born on the 5th December 2000. Yes he was the first bowler born this century to take a Championship wicket.

Strictly, the 21st Century -and the third Millenium - did not start until 1st January 2001; now that's opened a can of worms. So Hamidullah Qadri may be the youngest bowler born in the 20th Century to take a wicket in the Championship
