Both groups very tight.

Any 4 from all 9 teams in the southern group can qualify, and any 4 from 7 can qualify from the northern group.

We have to win tomorrow, then sit and wait for Friday's results to come through.

Wouldn't surprise me if we won tomorrow with pressure off to some extent as no one expects us to go through. Then Lancs v Warwickshire will be washed out, meaning Warwickshire finish above us by a point, and Northants and Derby will win their easy final games.

Just a shame it's 14 games not 16 as some teams will, legitimately, complain they had harder fixtures than others!

There is a permutation of results in the remaining matches in the north group that would leave six teams all on 15 points.

Think the best we can hope for is a win tonight which i think eliminates Lancs or makes them finish below us at the very leastand hope other results go our way. wont lose much sleep either way its only a bit of fun in the long summer months that used to be preserved for cricket, not long to wait before the autumn CC games gets back under way

Win this evening and Lancs cannot finish ahead of us, unless they beat the Bears by a margin so large it would be beyond even Jos Buttler's capabilities. However there would still be a permutation of other results that would let Lancs qualify along with us.

Let's just win tonight and leave the worrying and calculations until tomorrow. It wasn't that too long ago when many contributors, me included, were complaining about having to give up a potential home quarter final.

But we could yet finish second

We need some luck with the weather and the results we need. If we had only beaten Durham like everyone else!
