I wonder whether the Aussies will look to copy our county cricket system!

An occasional awareness of the Aussie press makes our 'odious' lot seem a tad less awful.

Sad to say but it doesn't.
I'm sure you're well aware that Rupert Murdoch aka "The dirty Digger" was born in Oz even though he's now a US citizen.
The man who's dragged our tabloids down into the gutter.

Odious is a description for those who don't respect democracy. The Australian system can't be compared to ours, its fine to say we should have less or they should have more, its about where you were born and whether those communities have enough support for cricket.

Yorkshireman to open for the Aussies in the next Test?

Don't know anything about him, but I wonder if he fancies a homecoming next season!

Well a Middlesbrough firm built the Sydney Harbour Bridge so why not a test opener?

Got a couple of decent scores for Queensland and been picked already for Australia A.

He hasn't played a lot so if he does try his hand in England, and as he's from Boro, I think we should let Durham see if he's any good first.

Good first day for the new look aussies with Faf the only one showing any defiance.

He played some sweet cover drives, was rock solid in defence and scored runs from all sorts of shots. His new bat appeared to be in mint condition and despite the abuse from the crowd he couldn't care for toffee as he held the innings together.

That's a load of humbug.
