Pitch inspectors at OT? More severe penalties this year as well.

Third innings defeat on the bounce for Warwickshire on the cards?

It must be pleasant in Div 2 for Notts.

All their bowlers seem to be fit and they've won again, inside 2 days.

Looking forward to Trent Bridge next Saturday, I think!

I am going, but not sure how we will do. Our batting does not look to good at the moment, and their bowling attack looks very strong.

I imagine our side will be (for the first three matches). After that 5 of the players are missing away with England.

Lyth or Lees, Willey, Root, Hanscomb, Ballance, Bairstow, Leaning, Bresnan, Plunkett, Rashid, Fisher.

I have attended the first two days of Lancs v Somerset. It has been fascinating stuff, with highly disciplined Somerset bowling in helpful conditions seeing Lancashire's batting off for 109. Liam Livingstone batted superbly for his 68.

Somerset struggled in turn, held together by Dean Elgar. Their tail (with Elgar) found it much easier on Saturday morning, with the sun now shining. 169 was a big first innings lead, but the Lancs top-order should be able to match the Somerset tail at least. Bit of a parallel with Southampton here.

When Hameed failed, for the second time in the match, and Procter went too, Lancs looked in danger of 2-day defeat. But Alex Davies, who looks a proper wicket-keeper as well as a decent bat, and the superb Livingstone added 129, and Lancs trail by only 17 going into day 3.

I will be there. It has been great entertainment so far, and it's lovely just to watch and not really care who wins. I've put a few photos up already, usual place.

Early days, but looks like the southern counties will be top of the tree this year. Middlesex, Surrey and Hampshire have all looked very impressive so far and it would not surprise me if they are the top 3 at the end of this season.

All three units look especially strong in batting and they all have vg bowling attacks. Hampshire also still have three more overseas players in Edwards, Bailey & Roussow to return which will strengthen them even more, plus, and it is a very big plus, none or very few England calls on their players, which means a settled side, which always creates a better side.

Going to be some very tight(time wise) finishes in the matches remaining. Time may run out for some teams or they might just squeeze out the wins.

Warwickshire have done enough to hold off any chance of a Surrey win which is a good result.

Essex who looked the most in trouble, next to us of course, might squeak a draw, but only if the weather keeps them off.

Lancashire might sneak a win, I can't believe it isn't raining in Manchester.

I'm not saying anything about our game until the final whistle goes.
