You have the added issue that nobody is scoring particularly quickly on this wicket either. The more condensed Notts can make the run chase, the better.

Whatever the result the game at Trent bridge is a wonderful testimony for the county game with three completed innings with scores of 240 241 and 247.

Finely balanced, fair track and fiercely competitive.

As long as Middlesex all out for under 230 it will be wonderful
