Weather seems to be having a laugh with the umpires at Taunton.

Just when they say it's fit to play it rains again.

Was pinning my hopes on Chanderpaul but the rain will do nicely.

Lancashire not doing us any favours - 5 down now for 92.

Make that 99-6.

Essex could be Champions by this time tomorrow the way things are going, and Yorkshire could be in the bottom 2.

Lancs are being a bit spineless here. Don't they want a local derby?

As I expected after Somerset posted over 300 on their own wicket as they would have anticipated Lancashire to opt to bowl first. Fear that Somerset will pick up 22 points and overtake us in the table. How on earth are we lower than Lancashire in the table?

If ever Lancashire(and most importantly us) needed a pair of stone wallers this is the moment.

Weather looks a bit better for Uxbridge for tomorrow but it looks like a quick shower can wreak havoc.

At least September cricket isn't boring.

Still a wet outfield at Uxbridge so the umpires have called for a early lunch at 12:00 noon.

Very far from drying weather here in London. From the report on Cricinfo, the field sounds so wet and slippery that player safety is a real issue. Furrher rain forecast for 2pm and 6pm today and pretty steadily after lunch tomorrow. I wonder if there will be any further play today or at all.
