Many thanks for posting this.

I've read the book and seen the film - the book particularly is excellent, however the crux of 'Moneyball' is to find players who the transfer market have undervalued, given crickets relatively limited market that point is absent.

What Moneyball has done is the rise the profile of data which is interesting and probably has 'legs'. Rather than Moneyball, I think cricket is ripe for the type of 'marginal gains' analysis beloved by British Cycle.
