If the new members are optimistic then they obviously haven't read this forum 😉

T20 membership is what I thought at first, but after reading the article (apologies if i'm wrong I only skimmed over it) it suggests full membership is up. Suppose it's to be taken with a pinch of salt as it is only early bird membership but still good news.

Now that the early bird renewal deadline date is almost here it seems one step closer to being asked if i've "wintered well" by the usuals in the north east upper.

Suprisingly optimistic considering last seasons performances. I was expecting membership figures to drop.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the fact if you bought this years full membership you’d get first refusal for ashes tickets.

I think The Ashes will have a lot to do with the increase. Anyway it's still excellent news all round.
And Glenn McGrath dismissed for 2 just 98 runs short of his century.

Ashes tickets see what the membership is in two years, I would love to see the membership at 17% every year but don't think so tickets for the first two days will go like hot cakes.

Its worth pointing out that an increase in revenue from Memberships isn't necessarily the same as an increase in actual memberships...
The same number of members paying slightly more for the privilege.
