The North and South groups conclude on Thursday and Friday of this week coming up. It looks likely that the quarter final qualifiers won't be decided until then.

But it appears that Sky won't be covering any of the final group matches. To do so would be competing for viewers with the Test Match. Surely this could have been avoided if a round of CC matches hadn't been put into the fixtures earlier. Has anyone seen any sort of reasoning why this was done?

There is NEVER any reasoning when the ECB compile the fixtures. They say that the T20 comp is to be blocked, then stick a round of CC matches slap bang in the middle.

I believe ALL the quarter-finals will be televised, as that was why we had to forfeit home advantage (if we had finished 1st or 2nd) as we were not allowed to play the match at Scarborough instead of Headingley. The SKY cameras can not get into Scarborough to televise the match, and they stated that all 4 quarter-finals had to be televised, hence us forfeiting our home advantage.

Sky could just be waiting until they know what fixtures are crucial before listing them?

The next test match, which starts Thursday, is a Day Nighter so will be on at the same time as T20s. There's a match every night before the test.

Again the ECB do their best to torpedo the grand finale of the league. Its almost as though they want the current system to fail

I was referring to the final group games on 10th and 11th of August, which coincide with the Day/Night Test Match Edgbaston, which finishes about 10pm.

No reason why if Yorkshire finished in the top 2, a home quarter final at Headingley could be played at 11am on Sunday 20th August. Happened in 2010 for a match against Leicestershire before England played Germany in the FIFA World Cup and still attracted a sizeable crowd.

According to TV listings, Sky are showing matches on both Thursday and Friday, concurrently with the Test Match. T20's are on Sky Sports Mix
