Whilst driving back last night I listened to a decent discussion on Radio 5 Live with Steve Denison, Owais Shah and George Dobell.

Dobell didn't hold back in his criticism of the ECB and Denison was on the backfoot a lot of the time.Well worth 15 minutes of your time.

Starts 2hours 41 minutes in on the podcast

No problem Stu.

Listening to Dobell lambasting the ECB was strangely therapeutic yesterday evening.

Well made points about Chief Exec's having to sign a 10 year disclaimer, public consultation being gnored, bemoaning the finances whilst sitting on £70m,the farce whereby England players are not available for their county whilst they will be for the City T20, the ECB not attempting to broaden cricket watching by using the new T20 for Sky's benefit etc etc.

GD has always been on the side of the CC followers. Good to hear him still lambasting the ECB.

When the ECB get there way (which they will), there will be 10 CC matches a season, and a 100 players signed up by the ECB to play in a City Franchise competition at the same time as CC matches, so counties will have to field second teams for 1/2 of those matches. And none of it on terrestial tv.

The Abba song comes to mind!! Money, ........, and all the while sitting on 70m.

Cricket is no longer a game, it is a vehicle for the ECB to swell there coffers. Why do they need reserves of £70m??
