According to West Yorkshire Sports News YCCC chief exec Mark Arthur has said that we are to have a home day/night Championship match in 2007.

It again shows that the county just bother about Leeds.

Not for me, it's chilly after 6pm any night of the season in the NE Upper.
Plus it b*ggers up my dinner arrangements.

Possibly in June /July - otherwise, not for me.

I read that there is to be a full round of the county championship to be played day/night as preparation for the Edgbaston test. This decision was made by the ECB not YCCC.

and Yorkshire have said they'd like to be one of the counties hosting a day/night fixture. Not sure what you're getting at there.

Exactly, YCC volunteered to stage a match, they could have played it "away".

The day/night test is in August, so presumably the day/night County match will be the week before, so it will be during the warmer weather. Also, it will have to be at Headingley, so perhaps we will not be at Scarborough in August, unless we get two of our 7 home matches CC during that month.

I'm afraid if this goes ahead it will be the start of the end of county cricket no thought as been given to people who travel a long way to get to Leeds to watch Yorkshire , so if it finishes at 8.00pm what time will you get home? I live in wakefield so it's no problem to me its a none starter for me .

I guess it will start at 2pm like the Day / Night test so will finish about 9.30pm.
Big no from me due to public transport problems.

"The end of the world as we know it". It's one game for goodness sake. It might even work.
