Couple of obstacles never mind the weather.

Colly has previous for days like this and it's Onions birthday so perhaps he has ideas on how best to celebrate with a career best with the bat.

To some degree I will be watching cricinfo from Trent bridge more the our game!

yep, so will i TU.

Our game, touch wood and hope for good weather should be relatively easy to win today.

But....at TB could go either way. I fully expect middlesex to win though, they have shown their mettle in other games this season, both in avoiding defeat like against surrey, and also winning unlikely run chases like they did at taunton.

They are not top for nothing.

The weather is now brightening up which could be a shame but it means that at least we should get plenty of play.
I hope we don't need too long but I fear it could be a hard attritional day.

All the fight seemed to have been drained from Durham yesterday. I think it'll be over by tea; it could be very quick if Borthwick goes early.

I think I disagree here, expect the game to be over by mid afternoon.

4 or 5 wickets before lunch, our tails are up, encouraged by whats happening at tb....can smell the title, next thursday could be the big day....what better way for the yorkshire crowd to give dizzy a great sendoff?

Peter, just above you say you think Middlesex will win today, and that would be my prediction too. If so, I'm not sure we can wrap the title up next week. It's going to go to the wire at Lord's unless Notts win today.

yes i know. And in my heart of hearts don't think we will be celebrating on thursday, but hey, you can't blame a yorkie for getting excited now, can you?
