Main item on radio 4 'Today' sports slot at 7.25.

Extremely jealous of those watching live though I do have to consolation of Sky sports. Think I might sneak out and watch in a pub anyway and create my own Lords beer festival featuring mainly Timothy Taylor.

Think the ECB/Sky should bus up the Somerset team anyway just in case. What a damp squib it would be if the winners of the trophy weren't there.
can't be there today but wish the team all the best and hope they have a little bit of luck .

Was at Lords on Wednesday and Thursday but sadly didn't book today off work when I was arranging it two months ago so sat in the office at the moment.
Yesterday was fantastic, a real nail baiter.
Still at Lords in spirit but body is about 170 miles north.

Sky for me. All the best for those going, hope you all have a great day.

It appears to be a very flat wicket now. Neither side want a draw, but fear it will end up as that. Not the type of wicket where you can take wickets quickly or score runs quickly. Just hope that Middlesex don`t just settle for second place prize money instead of third place.

We have nothing to lose, 3rd if we draw, 3rd if we lose, Champions if we win.

I'm planning to duck out of work about 12 and be there after lunch.

Trouble is, it's a cloudless sky at the moment - hopefully Middlesex won't still be 2 down when I arrive.

Stuck on the north circular!!! Managed to find a car park 20 mins from the ground for £10 all day. Not bad for London that!!

if middx are still only 2 down at lunch or even less than 5 down then we really need to get on with buffet bowling.

last thing we need is for middx to settle for second place.

bowl to take wickets for now, but be prepared to change tactic this afternoon if we cannot get at least 3 wickets this morning.

Declaration bowling has been banned. If the umpires think it's buffet bowling they will jump on it.

Congratulations Somerset.

Looks like after all the hype excitement and positive publicity it's going to peter out into a dull draw....

And as I'm always wrong....
