Some of them......

More penalties for poor or sub-standard wickets.

If it spins, it's bad; if it seams, it's bad; if it goes up and down, it's bad. Heaven forbid that the 2017 batch of Duke's should ever swing - they'll probably switch to Kookaburras.

Some good there but I hope that counties preparing roads with no chance of results are punished as well as those with excess turn and uneven bounce

I was hoping for a reversal of the "no toss" rule, but overall good changes.

I just worry about how ignorant the world is getting. No one appears to understand averages. Unless everything is completely the same the average (which usually is the 'mean') is calculated by adding together all the scores then dividing by the number of scores. So if every score increases by 1 the average will increase by 1, but exactly the same number will be below average. If there is going to be a standard marl that pitches have to achieve then points should be docked if a club has 2 pitches below that standard, not below average

Seems sensible stuff the only worry is if groundsmen go too far the other way and make life even easier for batsmen.
