George Dobell seems to have taken over County preview duty.

They still haven't got to Yorkshire yet but usefully collecting names for my fantasy subs bench. No not Panesar.

I'm in.

I've got to say that Bell-Drummond at 5 points seems a bargain.

Prepare to eat my dust.

First time in a long time for fantasy cricket. Can somebody explain about the transfers please. Do they come into effect immediately, for the following game or weekly? I need to transfer my 5 Yorkies back in before Sunday.

I got caught a bit flat footed failing to check whether my team interim team were fit or not. A couple of centuries hasn't made up for 4 of my team not participating and 2 playing for Sussex. 5 transfers a week should get me to early June I reckon.

Geoff - Any transfers take place overnight. All the players play the same number of matches in the course of the season, so transferring players in and out in "blank weeks" would waste a lot of transfers.

I have 6 or 7 of my players not playing this week, so I will get off to a very slow start (57 points so far), but expect to make up any ground in the next few weeks.

Andy of to a flyer --- 618 points already, but he has had three centurians.

Thanks Stu. I thought the 30 transfers was a touch generous so thought I would make the most of it and try get off to a flyer subbing those not playing in the first round. I will nurture the rest of my transfer allowance.

Geoff ---

From the DT site

"You can make up to 30 transfers and up to 20 captain changes during the season which can be made at any time. Valid transfers/captain changes received up to earliest published start time each day are effective immediately."

So once play has started, the changes are made for the following day.

Meanwhile i'm dead bottom, (not including the team made up entirely of Yorkshire players), wishing I had transferred some of my non-playing players out for this week.
