Foremark weekly report week ending 30th July 2017
Telephone Number: 01283 703202
Yet again water temperature and the weather has played a large part in last week’s results, however looking at the thermometer this morning it is showing 16c and the indications are that may improve further over the next few days. Some of the newly stocked fish have been happy to feed in the upper layers of the water or on dries off the top during the beginning of the week, and there are more fish scheduled to be stocked on Tuesday 1[sup]st[/sup]. The bank anglers have still found the fishing very challenging with very few offers, but in the evenings a few trout are moving in to the margins and feeding on the fry.
Mr Paul Walkerfished the boils on Monday and took 6 fish. In fact everyone who came on Monday caught at least 2 fish making the rod average for the day 3.2.
The going on Tuesday was tough but although there were a number of dry nets among the 18 rods who came top honours went to Gary Owen who fished a version of dapping to take 12 fish around the boils in his last 4 hour session all on dries.
Thursday saw Mr Walker back at the fishery at 3-00pm until 6-40 in which time he netted 9 fish on a slow sink intermediate with a number of different flies finishing the session on a floating line with a pink eyed woofter.
Friday was a poor day with the weather offering no assistance but Saturday was a different outcome all together with Tony Kirk taking 8,Malc Parker getting 10 as did Dermott Murphy.but top of the pile was Ricky Cotterell with 15 taken on Hoppers, Crunchers and a white lure that has yet still to be named.
Sunday was not the best day with a number of heavy showers running through the area but Mr Easton and his brother? Landed 9 to their boat and Mr M Jacks accounted for a further 6 on a pheasant tail with the best going 3lb.
