Vi felt a small wave of nervousness building up within her head as she made her way up the path that lead up the middle of the lawn to the porch of the Summers' house, and quickly climbs the small steps to get onto said porch. At the door she hesitates once again, her fist faltering as she raised it to knock. After a few long moments she final snaps out of her nerves and raps on the wood hard a couple times.

She steps back a couple steps and waits, making bets to herself as to who it would be that answered the door. Dawn? Xander, maybe? She figured most likely it'd be Buffy though. Her gaze sweeps out over the yard for a moment, her eyes following a car as it sped past, and then she hears the door opening and turns around to face whoever had answered her knocking.

"Hey." Vi says simply and gives a friendly smile.

It had been one of those days for Buffy, wrestling with the demands of being in charge and keeping everyone safe while her social life..emphasis on the lack there of, failed miserably. Dead on her feet from a late patrol and worrying over the many girls that now joined their ranks, Buffy took a quick glance around the living room to assess how embarrassed she'd be when her company arrived. She took a few minutes to arrange the pillows on the couch, pick up the empty bags of prepackaged corn product and give it a good straightening out. It was the most domestic she would get however, because a soft rap on the door announced her latest arrival.

"Vi. Good to see you, please come in. You settling in the house alright?" She blurted out in her usual Buffy tone, opening the door and gesturing with her arm for the girl to enter. It was a relief to know that there were girls she could trust with enough experience to help manage the others--no way Buffy and Faith could keep an eye out 24/7 for all of the girls here in Sunnydale anymore so they took about entrusting Vi to watch and mentor a group of hormonal hulk-teens along with the other girls who proved worthy.

"I would offer you something but I'm afraid it's my turn to do the groceries and well... We all know how that goes." The blonde chuckled, taking up a spot on the couch once they were inside. "I just wanted to catch up with you, find out how the girls are doing when I'm not around. And obviously make sure you're alright with all of this. It's helped us out immensely to know they're safe and have someone looking out for them when we can't." Buffy smiled, folding her hands in her lap rather uncharacteristically as meetings like this were not her strong suit and gave the girl a chance to update her.

Vi let a smile grace her features as the door opened to reveal the blonde slayer standing on the other side. The redhead instantly glad to find a familiar face and not some rookie waiting, she'd had a bit of an issue with a couple of the fresh recruit slayers shortly after her return. A couple of the bigger sized girls had mistaken her for a new trainee, and she'd had to put them in their place to assert her dominance. As a surviving slayer of the war with the First, she and the others who'd been there held 'rank' over the majority of the 'soldiers' in their army. Having recently fallen in love with the HBO series 'Band of Brothers', Vi figured she would be at least a lieutenant to Buffy's counter-partance to Colonel Sink. The others from the original group would be at the same level as her, or higher, while the strongest of the slayers recruited following the war holding the rank NCO at best.

"Good to see you too Buffy, and yes aside from a misunderstanding when I arrived I am getting back into the swing of it all." Vi greeted her boss with a smile before following the older slayer further into the Summers' house. She was still amazed at the strange return of the town, looking just as she remembered down to the detail, and the inside of Buffy's house was no different. It was almost unnerving, but Vi had come to expect such of the Hellmouth. Every day brought a new surprise and danger to follow.

"It's alright." Vi waves off the apology of the current lack of food or drink to be offered, and gives a small grin to the blonde. "Rona, Shannon and I took a ride into town for breakfast and to catch up a bit before I came over here so I'm good for a few hours."

She pauses as Buffy speaks again, now kind of wishing she'd thought to bring coffee back from the diner, and adopts a thoughtful look at the line of questioning.

"Well a couple of them are a bit rowdy and might come off a bullyish towards the newcomer slayers, as I found out last night when two of them figured that I needed an introductory hazing of sorts. Guess they didn't peg me for a vet." Vi replies with a shrug. "Nothing I couldn't handle, but it kinda makes me worried about the others they've maybe been giving problems to. Figure the last thing anyone wants is another Chloe incident." She adds with a pang of sadness hitting her at the mention of her dead friend.
