Vi felt a small wave of nervousness building up within her head as she made her way up the path that lead up the middle of the lawn to the porch of the Summers' house, and quickly climbs the small steps to get onto said porch. At the door she hesitates once again, her fist faltering as she raised it to knock. After a few long moments she final snaps out of her nerves and raps on the wood hard a couple times.
She steps back a couple steps and waits, making bets to herself as to who it would be that answered the door. Dawn? Xander, maybe? She figured most likely it'd be Buffy though. Her gaze sweeps out over the yard for a moment, her eyes following a car as it sped past, and then she hears the door opening and turns around to face whoever had answered her knocking.
"Hey." Vi says simply and gives a friendly smile.
It had been one of those days for Buffy, wrestling with the demands of being in charge and keeping everyone safe while her social life..emphasis on the lack there of, failed miserably. Dead on her feet from a late patrol and worrying over the many girls that now joined their ranks, Buffy took a quick glance around the living room to assess how embarrassed she'd be when her company arrived. She took a few minutes to arrange the pillows on the couch, pick up the empty bags of prepackaged corn product and give it a good straightening out. It was the most domestic she would get however, because a soft rap on the door announced her latest arrival.
"Vi. Good to see you, please come in. You settling in the house alright?" She blurted out in her usual Buffy tone, opening the door and gesturing with her arm for the girl to enter. It was a relief to know that there were girls she could trust with enough experience to help manage the others--no way Buffy and Faith could keep an eye out 24/7 for all of the girls here in Sunnydale anymore so they took about entrusting Vi to watch and mentor a group of hormonal hulk-teens along with the other girls who proved worthy.
"I would offer you something but I'm afraid it's my turn to do the groceries and well... We all know how that goes." The blonde chuckled, taking up a spot on the couch once they were inside. "I just wanted to catch up with you, find out how the girls are doing when I'm not around. And obviously make sure you're alright with all of this. It's helped us out immensely to know they're safe and have someone looking out for them when we can't." Buffy smiled, folding her hands in her lap rather uncharacteristically as meetings like this were not her strong suit and gave the girl a chance to update her.
