Hi there!

Last year was my first season at Vindloanda, I noticed that quite a few people brought along their own trusty trowel and was wondering if there is a special type of trowel or is it a standard type from b&q? :-\

I am back at Vindolanda for period 6 and I have also secured a couple of days digging at the Cabin Hill Farm Dig in Sefton in April so I thought I might invest in a trowel of my very own!

Sorry if this is a daft question! :-)

Each to his own, but I think its worth paying the extra three quid for the soft-handled WHS. More comfortable on the wrist after a long day in the trench.

My trowel wa a gift from my daughter who got it off Amazon a few years back.

Bummocks! I'm there 28th & 30th :-/ I have asked for two consecutive days if there are any cancellations so our paths may cross yet!

I will check out Amazon in the meantime! :)

Just a cheeky request regarding Amazon. If you go to the site via the website for the orchestra I am a member of (Crosby Symphony Orchestra www.crosbysymphony.org.uk) and click on the Amazon link we get a payment for every order made. We're a registered charity and raise some cash for Vindolanda over the past few years selling tickets for our charity concert in July - details to follow!

Thanks.
