Hey there! I don't normally have a computer, so I've nicked someone else's to say what a great time we had on our first ever dig. Esther and I (you will have known me as Peter from Peterborough, but for some reason Peter has already been used as a username, hence my registering under my nickname of Pegs [don't ask, it's a long story!]) had an amazing time, and are greatly anticipating November 1st.
Thanks to everyone who helped us with advice, friendly banter, and fun times. I have some photos to upload when I can figure out how to do it!
Anyway, thanks again guys and gals, I look forward to seeing what more comes up. And also if anyone finds the diploma I sneakily buried.
Hope you left a few odds and ends in the ground for those of us in week 5!
Looking forward to seeing the pictures when you can manage.
As to finds, the policy is not to describe anything of four star historical significance or anything that would be small, metallic, valuable and thus an undue temptation to shady metal detectionists. But whatever else you can share is welcome.
I suppose that with the royal wedding on you could unearth the Ark of the Covenant and not make the BBC!
