FW press release below, find this interesting, first time I have heard this was happening, reading between the lines canning, gosnells, and uwa are the only clubs to field juniors from 11-15s therefore are the only clubs eligible for promotion, is this true, even if so surely these clubs would fail in other eligibility criteria?

thoughts?

(also on a side note should clubs be told in june that they cannot achieve promotion because of lacking the correct criteria, could potential derail a clubs season who perhaps had no plans of promotion therefore not meeting NPL criteria but suddenly find themselves in a title/promotion winning position, a lot can happen before the beginning of the following season in regards to meeting the NPL criteria. perhaps FW could wait until the end of the season to determine whether a club will be promoted)

Promotion to the National Premier Leagues WA in 2016

Monday, June 08, 2015

Canning City, Gosnells City and UWA-Nedlands are the only All Flags State League Division One clubs to have passed the first test to be eligible for promotion to the PS4 National Premier Leagues WA in 2016.

Football West News

The Board of Football West resolved at its meeting on September 30, 2014, to introduce promotion and relegation between NPLWA and State League Division One.

Promotion is subject to the relevant State League Division One club meeting the NPLWA Eligibility Criteria.

One of the key eligibility criteria is that a club must field a team in each junior age group from U11 to U15 (to be elevated to U12 to U16 in 2016).

At the request of the Junior Standing Committee, a deadline for junior team entries was included in the 2015 Competition Rules. This deadline set was May 20, 2015.

The Football West board recently agreed to make a determination on the expansion of the NPLWA Junior competition in August.

It really shouldn't be a shock!

Most club presidents were at the presentation on 14 January & it was made perfectly clear to all of us! Bright red ink on page 16.

Hey Spudboy and to be clear not having a personal crack but did all the Presidents attend or was it poorly attended??

Was it a NPL called presidents meeting or a State League presidents meeting?? I believe along the journey there have been some exclusive meetings held and not all parties communicated to.

This may not be the case in this instance but for so many to either appear to not know or blindsided would indicate it may not have been the best of communication.

Does anybody know who attended on the evening and what clubs were present as well as what was agreed on the night??

I hear you 'sniper' and agree, no point getting all heated up if people never took notice and or did not attend!

Did hear differently tonight that 'they' (decision makers) were deferring the actual decision until September and ALL is NOT done and dusted, so I like others may have gone off half cocked

I will stand corrected and throw up apologies if this is the case..........lets watch these spaces hey :o :o

Having watched every Div 1 side at least once this season........it is my opinion that Dianella White Eagles are THE BEST Team (best skill, tactics and chemistry with great even contributions from ALL the players )and WILL win the league!!
