With all the talk on Facebook about the draft structure for next season, which seems to have been put forward to certain stakeholders for their input, be interesting to see what peoples thoughts are now on how this might look or how it should look, before any official announcement is made?

Anyone got any ideas, heard any rumors or have anything concrete that they can share?

Both kids groups should have equal numbers would be nice , so they both start and finish at the same time

Few people 'lording' about it because they know and no one else does !

Have heard 3 groups of 8 - probably geographical (hmmmm) ! Home and Away - 14 games
Top 4 in each group into one league, bottom 4 into another. Another 11 games
So 25 all up - the more i think about this the more i like it. Just hope its not done geographically and more on where teams finished overall after this season - ie ECU 1, Glory 2, Perth 3 etc

Obviously would mean the introduction of 3 new teams - Guessing Forrestfield, UWA and ??

I really hope we don't have any more NPL clubs just yet.
Their isn't enough quality players and infrastructure in place to support the number of clubs we already have.

Also the more clubs there are the less elite the top tier competition is. NPL juniors do need some time to stabalize. The fact that we are looking to change the system every year shows a lack of proper planning from an NPL junior structure and a lot of knee jerk reactions

Group1(north)
ECU..Joondalup city...Joondy United...Ellenbrook...quinns..FFAFWPG..Sorrento.

Group2(central)
PSC..Inglewood..FWSubiaco..Floreat..balcatta..Stirling..Bayswater.

Group3(south)
Bunbury..Mandurah..Rockingham..Cockburn..Armadale..Fremantle..Melville.

Stage1......teams play each team from their specific group(district)....With teams finishing in the top 3 spot combining to form a league of 9.The bottom 4 from each group combine to form a league of 12.
Stage2......The league of 9 play each other to determine champions.
Whilst the league of 12 does the same.

THERE SHALL NOT BE RELEGATION ......
Every season commencement is reset back to original groupings(districts)...
When a new junior club has the desire and moreover the demand (quality)for a sustainable tilt.....they shall be inserted accordingly,to their geographically aligned group.

I can't see any reason to whinge about this setup.....Surely?

It gives the kids either 22 games for teams finishing top 3
OR 28 games for teams finishing bottom 4 in the first stage...with cup rounds to come.

......Be happy enough with that lot.

*As teams are introduced it becomes top4 that you take to the next phase(premier)...
**And you always ensure that when adding teams as population demands you add to each group equally.
***This could even be a 4 group conference as of next season..

****This is what the people ( parents ) are happy with.......anything shy of this and the presidents/committees are out of touch....and don't want to listen.
This is a logical and fair outcome for players/development/teams....of all levels of ability....

Not Sure about your Maths Mull !

Group of 7 - 12 Home and Away Games
Top 3 from each - 8 games
Total 20

For Bottom 4 - Total 23

Switch the Top 3 to a Top 4 and would be good.
Also the likely introduction of Forrestfield and maybe one or two others ......

A great idea though.

Stage 1.

For 21 teams as is the case this year
..........3 groups of 7........

Each team plays each other IN THEIR GEOGRAPHICALLY ASIGNED GROUP ONCE....(6 games)

Stage 2.

The top 3 from each group form a 9 team league and play twice......(16 games)

The bottom 4 from each group form a 12 team league and play twice.....(22 games)

Top 3 .......6+16 games=22 games
Bottom 4.....6+22 games=28 games

2 FFAFWPG junior coaches been seen at better performing junior NPL clubs lately talking to kids and their parents. Rumor is they're out of a job and looking to poach kids for a club where at this stage they haven't been appointed.
