Besided, their watch is nothing special. Why, I wouldn't even touch it with a ten foot telescopic, pocket-protected, slide rul -- uh, I mean ten foot pole!

I am not an ad collector, but this is one ad I wish I'd bought. Check it out, from the early 50s. "American Science Creates a $10 Watch." Beautifully mad-looking science woman, probably a Cold War Russian defector, with zapping transformers in the background, the voltmeter, and whatever other geek action is going on there.. Ok, I concede, this was serious Physics Club.
