Once again, need help. Thanks for your help last time. I am still looking to get me a President. This time I need help with 18038 6M serial number, comes with papers. Person is asking close to $7K. What would you pay? Thanks in advance.

It's OK. There seems to be nothing wrong with the watch and although it has been slightly polished it's not too aggressive. The price is at the heavier end of the value but if you like it then that's OK. That said, after a second look, the dial looks porcelain, which if true makes it a good deal, even though the lume dots have been removed.

Personally I would hold out and find a mint one. You can get these in an unpolished condition and then just have one done to bring it back to new. It can be done with this one you show.

For as little as 10K you can get a minter with enamel dial if you hunt round.

Best

Steve

Should a president bracelet disconnect like that? I've never seen one in person

Nothing is perfect. Take your time and look. There are MANY nice mint watches around. Remember "haste makes waste". Good luck. Bty way you can find much better at about the same price. I am just a collector not a dealer.

please find him another one in much better condition
Is buyer's time worth anything ?
The time spent looking for another watch needs to be factored into the equation. So you spoiled his deal this time, costs YOU nothing.
Now he is on a search again.
This constant harping here on finding an unpolished watch is a bit laughable
to me. Find what you like at a price you like from a seller you like.
If you are looking for a virgin you pay more
Whatever floats your boat...
