RIP my friend!
An absolute character and true gentleman - it was a pleasure and a privelege to meet George and his wife at the HTE events.

I am genuinely saddened. My sympathies to you Philipp, I know George was a good friend to you!

R.I.P. ...Mr. George Band

George was a great personality and a tremendous spokesman for mountaineering over many years, and will be sadly missed.

RIP my friend!
He was a true gentleman and even though we only spoke for a short time at the HTE event, about climbing and the Royal Signals I will remember it for a long time.
