i used to have a friend who worked for Tourneau who had left but was able to locate some pre-owned for me a few years back - so the other day i deceided what the hell let me call the store and find out if someone else there can help me out - this is the Tourneau store in Natick MA - so i was offered this for $9,450.00 along with a 16660 gloss dial from 1987 for $9,700.00 - i have no words except WOWOWOWOWOWOW

Installing a service dial would not have helped the value of this one, so better leave it like it is then.
As long as they do not sell it as a 100% original 5513, I do not see the problem?

Yea, it seems all the MA Tourneau stores keep having the same inventory rotated among each store. Nothing ever new or impressive....but that....LOLOLOL.....WOW!! If someone bought that, it would be very unfortunate

Every collector knows that the dial is refinished badly, so why bother and install a service dial, that gets thrown out by the buyer in the first minute after the purchase?
If it is to be sold as original, well that is another story, but as there is no text with your posting, I do not know if that is the case
