I've seen photos of these on here, but can't find any reference to them in the books I have (or on the net, for that matter).

Can somebody please explain when and on what they were used?

Thanks muchly

is that they were special order for the Oman military, however I have also seen them linked to the FAP.

Authur Is the real expert as I think he has 4 of these inserts.

Andy

Ps lots of fakes about and a real one is about 6-8k dollars.

That's what is said, but I have never seen one an Omani or FAP that looks as if it was original to the watch....patina and all. Also, one has to wonder why if it was Omani or FAP, the main locations for known examples are in the US and Hong Kong. Plenty of fakes in Asia, and go for a few tens $$$ each.

Together with those sent by email. Arthur, those are very nice indeed, but I suspect don't fall within my definition of "reasonably priced" (lol)!
