Picked this up
I thought it would make a decent beater and i can look beyond the dial/hands (could not beat the price) But I am not sure of the authenticity of the bezel

Any thoughts?

My vote was aftermarket as well...

Anyone know if a source for a high quality aftermarket bakelite set?

TIA

... I can vouch for the product offered by eBay seller "oldferrari"

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Ins ... 4cfd09b21d

I bought one of his first batch thinking I'd squirrel away my genuine bakelite insert.
The overall look and gentle ageing (and certainly the price) of his product is better than many I've seen.
