Saw a 168000 with Matt dial and serial no 97xxxxx on sale, is this possible? according to book by Mondani, 168000 should be with R series and all of circular edge dial. z

It should be WG surround only and not matt dial on 168000.

...in the past.
That doesn't make it right, though.

Is a 9-mil series born with a gloss dial with wg index. I had mine fitted with a matt dial, then PVD and I like the look of it.

I am pretty sure all 168000s were sold with a gloss dial though. I think 168000 and 16800 are fairly priced with or without matt dial. So if you are considering buying a 168000 with a matt dial just look at the price, if it is good then buy it. Do not dwell on the dial issue.

mine was not in that good condition, PVD demands good polish or it will look bad
