I hope to own this reference one day and this one's caught my eye. I'm not bidding but it's an opportunity for me to learn more.

I see the heavily polished case, the modern (?) rotor and incorrect insert (?) and that the watch is beaten up overall.

I've read the excellent material that Philipp and others have posted over the years ... including info. about fake dials. What I'm keen to know is .....

a) Are the dial and hands all correct, genuine Rolex items ?
b) Does a serial 1.5m / II/67 ring true for this rare reference ?

Thanks in advance !

It amazes me how you guys can make such defining comments without any depth or knowledge. It was worth buying, i just mised out, and the buyer has a bargain in his hands.

best,
