By coincidence I bought this watch a couple of days before the Omegamania Antiquorum auction !!
When I bought it I noticed that the dial was not black as I would expect. Then I happened to check the auction and saw the write up about one almost exact like mine. That one went for $25,000. Well, we all know by know that those prices were very inflated because Omega was buying some watches for their own museum.

Just like Patek does regularly (and lately JLC to correspond to their vintage re-releases)...only Omega got caught and poor old Omega is not as respected as Patek.

Here is another Omega from same period that is just turning color.
May be I should leave it in the Southwest sun for a few months and see what happens...
