Hi,
I have in my possession a Rolex wrist watch which was given to my father on his 21st birthday in 1937.
I,m told it is a 15 jewel movement in a 9ct case with matching 9ct band. It is in very good working condition. The case back is stamped 36748 2416.The jeweller who cleaned the watch was unable to value for me because of the age. Can anyone advise me of a likely value.
Many Thanks, Nigel.

Hi Nigel - pics would be helpful for folks on the forum to help with this. An easy one to try is signing up for a website called imgbb where you can upload the pics and then paste the links in a post here and they will show up. If you go back a few pages on this forum you will see some posts where people have given advice on how to upload pics.

Hi Nigel - If you have issues feel free to email the pics to me ( andrewsabz @ live.com - remove the spaces) and I'll upload here as a comment (provided the moderators are ok with this). Thanks

although not very commercial in today's market.

Fair auction estimate for a 1930's cushion case 9ct gold Rolex Oyster jewel lever manual wind watch with engraved case back is likely to be around GBP £1,200-1,500; the 9ct gold bracelet could add GBP £250-500 to that price.

I have a few of these watches in my collection: they are pretty to look at, but not really wearable.
