These buyers are not concerned anymore paying such exorbitant amounts for the opportunity to own an iconic watch. He also gets bragging rights among his billionaire friends. Question is, will the recent sale of the PN Daytona drive up the prices of vintage Rolex watches to the point that collectors will start unloading their hoards to take advantage of the bullish prices? Such events might also cause the bubble to burst and values to go soft?
