I would be very grateful for any opinions on this watch which I am interested in purchasing, esp the dial and the 'R' of the Rolex, the patina and the bezel.
Many thanks in advance.

Dial is Rolex. Insert is a thin font service replacement patina is ok but not nice.
The trit dots are crumbling and as the poster below has pointed out the hand set is not Rolex.
You can definitely find better for that budget.
Keep your eyes on VRM

I love patina, but not this "dirty" kind. Sometimes it's an indication of moisture issues. Also, the price is crazy high, IMHO. There are better, and cheaper, examples out there. Good luck in your search.

The hands are aftermarket.
How can you tell? I certainly wouldn't have noticed this... (nt)

A few observations I noticed...

1. Hour hand: the metal inside the metal mercedes is too thin
2. Second hand: the area is smaller and shorter where the tritium is situated. The shape of the tip is longer.

I'm sure there are other aspects about these hands that indicate that they are indeed aftermarket, perhaps others will indicate.

The hands are aftermarket.
...100 % fake hands:

- flat instead of rounded surface
- thin inner Mercedes lines
- bad punch out (check the fuzzy transition from the second dot to the straight part)

Sweep counterweight does not cross the center of the mercedes on the hour hand
