182.000 USD for a Newman with a shot dial. Rare reference. Rare dial.

What's wrong with the dial in the Christies auction?

I was following a few pieces - my God prices were high, even more so on common watches.

In on it. Its a 85% condition dial at best. Dents, moisture damage around the rim, crappy lump dots, signs of rubbing around the sundials. Not great.

Unfortunatly the 6264 is for a client, but I get to enjoy it for a while.
