Hi everyone, this is my first post on VRF but I've been reading this site for months. I bought my first 6538 on ebay yesterday and I wanted to see if I could get some folks' opinions. I was on TRF last night and someone post this watch may be a potential fake. From my research, it's between a 1955-1959 4-liner. Could someone please take a gander at the pictures at share your thoughts. I absolutely love the look of the watch. Thank you!

Just saw that, thanks for the quick response. I spoke with the seller otp and he gave me some honest info...the movement is real, case is aftermarket, dial is not real...but then again that's obvious right. I really do appreciate the response.

There is obvious wordplay being used here... vintage Rolex on eBay is a risky proposition.

The only thing real on that is the movement, and thats worth about $1000 give or take. The rest of the watch is aftermarket parts totaling no where near what you paid. I would tell the seller that you refuse to pay, and tell him to let you off without an unpaid item strike.
