Hi guys,

This oddity has popped up on eBay. The seller writes it up as something special but it's a watch that I for one am completely unfamiliar with ......

Did such a watch originate from the Rolex factory or is it one of those great mysteries like the white dial 6542's ?

Just curious.

A bit of a search on this fine forum and I found some reference to such a beast.

Am always learning - it's a cool watch. Cheers, Paul

Hello

Hands are not original. Can not vouch for dial and bezel as I don't know enough.

Can only say that I did see a beautiful gold, crown less root bear 1675
many years ago. About 10, maybe 20 years ago. Maybe 30.

The watch was unforgetable.

YG 1675's before, I've heard (no proof) that they (Rolex) used left over YG 6542 cases.

The dial and hands on this one look to be incorrect/later.

No, cases are completely different in design, detail and dimensions.
