Hello, first of all, I would like to say that I am very happy with this watch i bought a few weeks ago from a very good seller. The transaction was really perfect!!
My question is about the mk 1 dial.
I posted it on a french forum and they told me it was relumed. But 2 very well know sellers in France told me that the dial was completely correct and not relumed. They have also seen dials like that for 5513 meters first from same period (67)
Please give me your opinions if it is relumed or not. Thanks. Guillaume

cant say i've noticed a glowy one before, but as most of the 67 5513/2's still glow would seem logical

probably just more phosphorou substance.....radium/tritium is just the battery that makes it glow...but the phosphorous material will charge from sunlight for short period if a lot of it like in earlier dials

I have had a few of the late 60's GMT, both Gilt and Matte, and the puffy lume they used back then still glows today. Dont ask me why or how but, the puffy lume is the only lume that should still glow, just for a few seconds mind you but, it does glow. Your watch is correct.

and nice and thick dots of it on those dials to give them a slightly greenish color...

Err...the opinions of your Buddies at the French forum...
were incorrect...for Orchi that is.

Orchi likes the Dial + Hands very very much...

Best regards
Orchi.
