Anyone have better luck than me last night? I was bidding on 4 lots but walked away empty handed. Jim.

Bid on the C56 low-grade set and the C55/C56 mixed lot, but to no avail. If anybody here won either of those lots and plans on breaking them up, lemme know. Also bid on the E94 overprint the first night but was outbid at the end, which was actually something of a relief. I've been blowing through my V145-1 break-up money as if I were my wife.

I bid on the LaPatrie set but lost out - if anyone won and is selling some of it please let me know - I only need 10 or the 21.

bid on both of the C56 sets and lost out on both. would be interested in a couple of the cards if someone on this board won and was planning on breaking up the set.

I got the 5 card PSA8 51 Parkhurst lot

I was bidding on the 13 card C56 lot and the 9 card C55 lot but was outbid last night. It sort of came as a relief.

Colin - Do you have any idea who won the C56 lot? Including the juice the price is over $1000 a card. Your point earlier about it being a chance to obtain 13 high grade cards at once certainly factored into the price. I would be surprised if the new owner made a lot of money breaking the lot up - even if they can command a king's ransom for the Taylor.

Albie - I have no idea who won it. Maybe someone else on this forum does.
It was definitely a premium price to pay for that lot but there were a bunch of beauties there that I would not mind having for my set.

I don't know who won the C56 lot, but I doubt if anyone will be planning on breaking it up. I don't see much chance to make a profit. Most of the Mastro auctions go so high that you would have to hold them for a while to make a profit. The cards in the C56 lot were very high grade for that set, and I could see a collector upgrading their set, or adding to a set they were building.

That's all just speculation on my part!
