Hello to all! I have been helped several times throughout my claim through this site and have to say thank you to all who have served and thank you to all who have posted to help others.

I am writing to see what opinions were on my case getting granted IU. I am beyond nervous and am having a hard time sleep at night and function knowing a decision could be coming shortly. It moved to preparation for decision then back to review of evidence last night.

I have a 90% total rating at the moment. I applied for IU in June as I have been unemployed for some time now and bills are quite tight as my wife doesn't have the highest paying of jobs. I have had 8 different jobs since separating in 2010 and all have lasted around 2 months before leaving. I am 70% PTSD, 30% for back, 20% for shoulder, and 10% for a knee. I guess I am just writing to hear anyone's opinion as to what they might think a probable outcome based off of past claims.

Again, Thank you all in advance for all the help you do and continue to do.

So many variables to consider.
I do wish you luck on your claim.

+1

You do meet the numbers requirement of 38 cfr 4.16.

If I was you, I'd write up a 4138 and briefly detail why you left every job since separation, or the past 5 years.

Good luck.

I believe I will have to do just that @Spunky. My claim went back to gathering of evidence in the last couple of days when it was in review of evidence 12 September after being moved back from Prep for Decision. This would be the VA's third attempt for some request from prior employers.

I was fired once.. the rest I was usually written up with attendance issues and then would just bail once I felt too deep and try and figure out the next step.

I'm in the "Gathering of Evidence" mode now since June.
  • Disability retirement filed April 2016, approved May 2017.
  • C&P June 13, 2017
  • <VA Medical Facility> {Awaiting Others}
  • VA-21-4192 submitted with C&P exam request (reused the one I used for OPM)
The dates in eBenefits for completion have adjusted so many times.
  • Submitted: 09/03/2017 (Compensation)
  • Estimated Completion: 11/29/2017 - 02/16/2018
The November date was Oct 17, 2017. Then it went to March 2018 and now it's back to November 29th 2017.

Is this normal?

The last few claims I've had have had the bouncing around prior to completion. And completion came sooner rather than later. One time I remember % jumping around. It may not be totally accurate but you can definitely tell when there is movement on your claim.

Got a call to schedule another C&P exam so, I told the lady I would give the VA a call and see if this is accurate. VA says, "Go to the appointment. Question, "Will this afftect my current claim"?
  • Dates
  • Change timeline for completion
Cheers,

My strong guess is it's directly related to your current claim.. schedule it for as soon as possible..if you went back to gathering of evidence that's it..

Scheduled the appointment with medical support Los Angeles (MLSA) however, after reading some online reviews, I came across this; "This company was a quick and easy fix to the VA backlog. The only problem is now the appeal portion of the VA is backlogged out to five years to to the high denial rate for initial claims. The VA fixed nothing and this company make millions, at the expense of tax payers and veteran's. Do not get your C&P done by them say you want a VA C&P, not a third party.

Should I request a VA doctor complete the appointment?

Cheers,
Bryan
